BUSINESS NEWS,

WEEK FROM SEPTEMBER 18

JUNE ROCHE
NEW HITES

NEW business founder June Roche from Hemel Hempstead said she couldn't have done it without the skilled help, advice and support she received.
June praised both the Academy of Business Excellence (ABEX) and the Dacorum Business Network (DBN) to help her business services company, HITES, get off to a flying start.
June said: "It has been daunting to get all the elements in place to start HITES but, with the free training and advice Business Link and ABEX offer, I feel I can overcome all the usual hurdles faced by a new business. They taught me about sales and marketing, accounts and where to go for legal and insurance advice."
After gaining a range of experience organising top executives and their offices in multinational companies such as BT and e-commerce firm FreeMarkets, June felt it was time to go it alone.
Although HITES - Hi-Tech Executive Services - has been running for less than a month it has already secured some top-notch clients. The company specialises in business and personal organisation, project management, training and web design services. June added: "If your personal or business life is getting in a muddle, HITES will help you to audit, focus and create your ideal living or working situation.
"If you have a project you are undertaking but simply don't have the time to source the suppliers or make and chase the arrangements, HITES will do it for you."
The company also offers computer training and various others, both in a classroom format or privately at your home or business. "Even though I really know my stuff the free advice I received from DBN and ABEX showed me that this alone was not enough to start up a new business," June added. "We are very lucky in Hemel Hempstead to have the ability to tap into a wealth of resources not offered in other towns. I never thought I would be running my own business but as I send out my first invoice on my first day of trading, I thank Dacorum Business Network, ABEX and the local enterprise agencies for all their help and support." She also advised anyone thinking of starting their own business to follow her example and book an appointment with a Business Link adviser to find out just what help is available.
